If you have never bought new construction, there are a few helpful tips you should know. First, new construction offers a very nice benefit that previously-owned home buying does not. With a new home, you won’t need to deal with a previous homeowner, one who may have an emotional connection to the residence. This could influence the negotiation and buying process that may not go in your favor. Alternatively, if you build a custom home or purchase a spec home in a developing subdivision the only person you deal with is the builder.
