Organizations In Elgin Team Up With “Toys For Tots”

What do the Marine Corps League Elgin Detachment 077 and The Elgin Symphony Orchestra have in common? They’re both helping less-fortunate kids have a very happy holiday season by teaming up with Toys for Tots!

On December 6th Marines in uniform will assist in the collection of toys from 6:30 to 7:30pm, before the start of the Elgin Symphony Orchestra’s Holiday Showcase at the Sears Centre Arena. They will be collecting unwrapped toys for all ages, so if you want to make a difference this holiday season here’s your chance! If you can’t make it during the performance the Sears Centre Box Office will be accepting items up until December 12th.

The Elgin Township Government Building, 729 S. McLean Blvd. will also be functioning as a Toys for Tots drop off center if this location is more convenient. If you would like to make a donation, checks, payable to Marine Corps League Elgin Detachment 077 (Toys for Tots), can be mailed to Elgin Township, 729 S. McLean Blvd., Elgin, Il 60123 as well.
